As the company continues to grow, we are looking for the Compliance Manager Baltics!
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company's regulatory and compliance risk management strategy
- Assess, oversee, and challenge Baltic retail network compliance governance frameworks, processes & controls
- Monitor compliance with GDPR, Competition Law, Sanction and AML Laws, Latvian and EU regulations, and following-up on actions to be implemented
- Conduct compliance assessments to evaluate policy implementation and effective risk management, deliver trainings upon the need
- Own various compliance projects in the network by collaborating with colleagues in other Baltic and Norwegian branch offices
- Provide advice and guidance with respect to the legal requirements and standards applicable to the industry
- Address daily compliance inquiries, and draft and update internal legal documents, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay updated on current regulatory requirements and apply them to our business.
- Take a driving seat to make compliance culture high on the agenda through effective collaboration and communication
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in law or a related field
- 3-5 years' proven experience in a compliance office role
- Thorough understanding of Civil Law, Competition Law, and GDPR. Knowledge of Sanction Law, and AML Law would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of legal requirements, procedures and its application across the Baltic States
- Critical thinking, multitasking, highly analytical with strong attention to details
- Ability to lead and manage projects with various stakeholders both internal and external
- Strong analytical skills for tackling complex business and regulatory issues.
- Pro-active and can-do attitude
- Proficiency in English and Latvian
